Sunsets give a moody, romantic feel that I enjoy to paint. They are one of my favorite subjects, and Watch Hill beach is the perfect location. The dunes make a circular shape that leads your eye to the focal point of the setting sun. Flowering bushes adds nice color and balance to the left side of the piece. Looking at the waves from the vantage point up on the dunes where you have a non typical view of rolling waves from the side instead of waves coming right at you makes a very interesting perspective – End of a Perfect Day.
