This series of paintings explores the intersection between landscape and color field painting. The landscape has been reduced to minimalist shapes and colors.

Repeated sanding of the canvas throughout the painting process creates a smooth, brushless surface which-by erasing the artist’s hand and texture-removes the process of picture-making and transports the viewer to an idealized place.
