My name is Leslie Reed McDaniel, artist and owner of Artisan Studios, LLC.  I was born, raised and still live in Florida. 

I fell in love with painting when I was a child. I sold my first piece when I was 15.  Since then I’ve been hooked.  I took a few art classes in school - but overall I'm self-taught.  I have really enjoyed the journey of finding my unique style.  Painting, to me, has always been about personal expression and feeling. I look at it as being therapeutic, therefore I feel a little bit of me is in each piece.

My style consists of bold color use and heavy texture. The use of pallet knives and large brushes makes my work unique. I choose oils as my medium for their texturing capability and their brilliant color.
