Jodi Bauter | Midway, Georgia USA
I was born in beautiful historic Savannah, Georgia in 1976. I have attended with a full scholarship and graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration.
My sense of spirituality and passion for horses has also played a big part in the progression of my talent. After graduating, I had taken a short hiatus from art career in order to start and raise a family. Slowly, I have picked up my pencil and paintbrushes in order to resume the creation of more works of art.
My favored style and techniques are watercolor painting, realistic graphite pencil renderings and ink stippling technique, which uses a pattern of dots, in order to render intricate animal or nature designs, then I add color using watercolor paints and sometimes colored inks. A truly unique style all of my own.
Shows that I have been invited to attend includes the very prestigious Annual Grand National Art Show and Sale at the Cow Palace in San Francisco California. I have also displayed artwork at the annual juried art competition at the Georgia National Fair for a few years now. And I have won first place in the graphite division at the Women and Horses Expo. in Sedalia, Missouri.
Currently I am living in Midway Ga, and doing pet portraits as individual commissions.
