Holly Russo | Bowie, Maryland USA

I take photos for selfish reasons. I try to capture what I see so it can last -- the six-minute sunset, the soon-to-wilt flower, the jeweled eyelids of winking whitecaps.

I take these scenes and digitally form them into watercolors to add an element of dreaminess, what I’d remember after having risen from a splendid sleep: the fluid colors, fuzzy shapes and not-so-sharp lines of slumber.

I want it to feel like you’re stepping into a dream.
