Christy Sobolewski is passionate about and invigorated by the average everyday world around her. She sees beauty and inspiration in many of the things we take for granted. None of the things around her inspire her more than her environment.
Christy is a Florida native whose parents chose to raise her on a sailboat until school age. This lifestyle provided her with much joy and appreciation of the sea and islands surrounding South Florida. Loving Florida living has led Christy to spend most of her adult life planted firmly in the Florida sun and sand.
The artist works primarily in acrylics on canvas and her pieces always have a touch of mixed-media that gives her art a unique characteristic not often found in the work of traditional fine artists.
Christy is a self-taught artist who brings to her art the training of a graphic designer and over 12 years of study in web design and development. Christy was born in 1968 in a little town called Fort Myers on the South West coast of Florida.
