"Pandas" 2010 | Black Pen and Marker on Cartridge Paper | Size = 8" X 12"

The Panda the symbol of wildlife conservation by the World Wildlife Fund since 1961. There's around 1000 in the wild and 250 or so in captivity.

I was fascinated by a television program that showed a panda giving birth and caring for its new baby. It showed how fearful and unprepared the mother
panda was for this phase in her life. Puzzled at how to grasp those maternal instincts, I've portrayed a beautiful moment of the baby resting and mum
with her chin gently on him.
