For three years, Marie Wise studied and painted wind turbines. Her series of paintings, titled 'Power of the Wind' have been featured in a solo show, and are the subject of her new book, also titled 'Power of the Wind'.

This painting was one of several gouche studies done to explore the movement of wind through the sky and its effect upon the wind turbine blades, as depicted from an artist's perspective. Marie believes wind power is important to the future of our planet, and many of her paintings are devoted to the subject of wind energy.
